Poem: What’s Not Love

Love isn’t you and me,

it isn’t about us.

When you see the pond,

do you just see the lotus?

Love isn’t what you want,

it sure isn’t what I need.

It is what happens,

beside envy, hate or greed.

Love doesn’t ask for sacrifice,

you don’t do it against your will.

It isn’t mine to bring to life,

neither is it yours to kill.
